Monochrome Paris and Hatinh Interactive are marking today’s launch of Tandem: A Tale of Shadows with a new release trailer.

You’ll be guiding Emma and her teddy bear Fenton across a Victorian inspired world taking cues from Jules Verne, Conan Doyle and Tim Burton. Each character sees the world from their own viewpoint, Emma getting a top-down POV while Fenton sees the world on the horizontal. You’ll use the skills of both characters to solve puzzles and escape horrors.

Naturally, as you might expect from a game with Shadows in the title, lighting will play a big part of the game. Emma comes equipped with a lantern that not only lights the way, but casts shadows that Fenton can interact with or hide from the game’s toy-like enemies in. There’s even hidden rooms to uncover, unearthing more secrets in the game’s plot.

Expect over forty puzzles that’ll see you pushing and pulling, using alarms and traps to your advantage and much more. There’s also an original soundtrack by French composer Guillaume Nicollet. You can check out the game’s launch trailer for yourself down below. Tandem: A Tale of Shadows is out today for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
