In a recent interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Final Fantasy XI Producer Hiromichi Tanaka has talked about the future of Final Fantasy XI. According to Tanaka the Xbox 360 version of the game will have roughly double the draw distance of the PC version and the Beta will start at the launch of the console. He also mentioned the possibility of a PlayStation 3 version, but this depends on Sony’s plans for the console’s hard disk.
Final Fantasy XI was revealed for the Xbox 360 at Microsoft’s pre-E3 press conference. While the port to the Xbox 360 left many people disappointed, Square-Enix have promised that more games will be developed for the console. We’ll bring you more news on the port as more details are revealed.
