Take-Two has extended its long-term employment agreements with Sam Houser, Dan Houser and Leslie Benzies, key members of the creative team of Rockstar Games.

The team is described by the publisher as being “instrumental in the development and success of Take-Two’s extensive portfolio of multi-million unit internally-owned franchises”.

“I want to take a moment to recognise this team that has been with Take Two for well over ten years now,” said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick during an overnight earnings call. “They’ve not only continued to deliver outstanding results but they’ve showed incredible loyalty. We look forward to working with the Rockstar team for many years to come.”

The deal is said to be on “substantially similar economic terms” to the trio’s previous agreement.

Rockstar’s recently released LA Noire joins established franchises Grand Theft Auto and wild west series Red Dead, highlighting the importance of the Rockstar label within Take-Two. Holding onto the key talent will help ensure future projects maintain the same quality.
