Official PlayStation Magazine Italy reports that Syphon Filter 4 will be released in winter 2012, as translated by sillegamer.
“Syphon Filter 4 is slowly gearing up for a release on PS3,” wrote the magazine. “Expect a launch for Winter 2012.”
Back in May Sony posted then quickly removed a PlayStation blog entry confirming the game’s existence. Described as a sequel to PSP title Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, the game is said to be in development by Sony London and promises to “revolutionise” the stealth genre thanks to a flash new game engine created by the studio.
OPM Italy hasn’t really brought anything new to story which broke back in May.
