Nintendo has released a new update for brawler Super Smash Bros Ultimate that adds new VR functionality to the game via Nintendo Labo.

As detailed by the below video, the Version 3.1 Update is a free addition that will allow owners of the Nintendo Labo VR Kit to look at the game in a special VR mode using the Toy Con VR Goggles.

It's compatible with Limited, Timed and Offline battles and can be used to watch CPU fights in an entirely new way with 'many' of the game's stages supported. However, the mode does not work in Online or Local Wireless modes.

The 3.1 update is available to download right now for Smash Bros Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch.
