Punishing Xbox LIVE Arcade platformer, Super Meat Boy, will receive its first title update shortly, developer Team Meat has announced. The Title Update is being submitted to MS for approval this week, and it should go live by November 21.
The update will fix all know bugs, erase all zero second times from the leaderbaords, and introduce an all-new music track.
The biggest part of the update will be the first set of 20 internets levels. The new chapter for the internets, called the Sewers of Dross, will be Meat Boy’s first character exclusive chapter. In the sewers of dross players will be using only Gish and his sticky abilities to traverse 20 levels that ramp in difficulty from medium to soul crushing.
At its low launch price of 800 MS Points Super Meat Boy already offered a huge amount of gaming for the money, so it’s hugely generous of Team Meat to be releasing further content at no extra cost, especially when we reckon Super Meat Boy fans would have been happy to pay around 200 MS Points per level pack.
