Rocksteady Studios and WB Games have announced that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed until February 2, 2024 in order to “work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players.” This decision comes after its latest preview endured heavy criticism from the gaming community after being shown during the February 2023 PlayStation State of Play.

The delay to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s release date doesn’t come as much of a surprise since many of the in-game trailers that had been shown didn’t exactly portray the game in a flattering light. In fact, many fans became immediately disappointed with the upcoming superhero instalment after finding out about its heavy reliance on microtransactions and its “always online” requirement.

Several disappointed users commenting under the game’s most recent co-op gameplay trailer have even said that the “cutscenes look more exciting and interesting than the gameplay.” Others couldn’t help but poke fun at the developers for the less-than-popular elements that are included in the game, such as a purchasable battle pass, gear score, and its looter-shooter mechanics.

Fortunately, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League still seemingly has a few diehard fans that believe it’ll do well after this much needed delay. One user is asking for the improvement or removal of several unwanted aspects while others are simply telling Rocksteady Studios to take all the time they need in enhancing its gameplay and fixing some of its glaring issues.

Sadly, this is the game’s second significant delay in as many years so the rest of the community might not remain patient for long. Hopefully, this will indeed allow the developers to work and improve on the game’s most important aspects so it at least ends up being a respectable creation that fans will be able to enjoy.
