After nearly 20 years in the business, video game developer Stormfront Studios has been forced to close because of failure to secure publishing deals for new projects.

A rep from the developer explained the news to Next-Gen in a phone interview, stating: “Frankly, we didn’t get pitched, and the project [we were working on] made no revenue.”

Stormfront created Stronghold, the first RTS to use a 3D perspective, went on to work on many projects for EA and has more recently been working on the film licenses The Spiderwick Chronicles and Eragon.
