Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has announced via Twitter that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package will be released for PS3 and PC in early May.

“The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will hit PS3 in North America on May 4th, everywhere else May 5th. PC gets it worldwide on May 4th,” tweeted the IW community man.

There’s no word on pricing, although we expect PS3 gamers to be paying in the region of £10. Bowling also confirmed that the DLC’s launch will be accompanied by a double XP promotion, with further details to be announced at a later date.

The Stimulus Package features five maps, three new and two from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. See what’s in store by checking out our Stimulus Package walkthrough video.
