Steambot Chronicles is described as a relaxing non-linear role-playing adventure, and it comes from the people at IREM. The game is so non-linear that players will determine what type of gameplay they experience, how the plot unfolds and also who the hero turns out to be.
In the game players take on the role of Vanilla Beans, a young adventurer who awakes on a beach with no memory of how he got there. He is befriended by a singer called Connie who has lost her band mates, and the pair set off on “an unforgettable quest.“
In the world of Steambot Chronicles players will have to play mini-games and complete sub-quests – in doing so gaining new skills and creating a unique character with skills as a fighter, explorer, chef, bandit, and plenty more.
Steambot Chronicles is scheduled for release in the UK for PlayStation 2 in September.
