StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm sold through approximately 1.1 million copies worldwide – including retail and digital – in its first two days on sale, Blizzard has announced.
This figure comes in some way short of the record-setting 1.5 million copies shifted by StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty during its first 48 hours on sale. The game went on to shift three million in its first month.
“We want to thank the global StarCraft community for the incredible passion and support they’ve shown for Heart of the Swarm,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.
