BioWare is looking into the possibility of bringing Star Wars: The Old Republic to the Mac platform.
Speaking to Massively, the firm’s co-founder Greg Zeschuk explained that while it’s not yet possible for Mac users to play the MMO the team is looking into it.
“We’ve done a lot of Mac ports before of our games. We haven’t announced any details yet for The Old Republic, but we know that’s an important and large audience,” he stated.
“That’s definitely one of the things we’re looking at next. We want to get this launch under our belt and everything stabilised and happy, and then we’ll look at other platforms, and that’s obviously one of the first ones.”
Zeschuk also hinted to Joystiq that users should expect iOS and Android developments in the future for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
“We did that iOS Mass Effect Galaxy thing really early. We said, ‘We should just try this and see what happens.’ And we learned something from it.”
Star Wars: The Old Republic released December 20 in Europe and North America.
