The Empire is currently in the lead for Star Wars: The Old Republic PvP, according to the game’s PvP design lead Gabe Amatangelo.

Writing on the game’s blog, Amatangelo gave a run down of pertinent statistics involving Star Wars’ PvP.

Within the first week of the game’s launch over one million Warpoint matches were played, with over half of all users participating in them.

So far Huttball has proved to be the most popular, at 39 per cent of all matches played.

The Empire has won 53 per cent of all Alderaan Civil War and Voidstar matches, while an in-faction Warzone is currently planned to allow users to play against their own faction.

BioWare has also planned updates to PvP with level 50 bracket Warzones, improved open world PvP on Ilum, optimised combat gameplay, ranked Warzone matches, PvP stat tracking, open world PvP loot drops, further Warzone medals, and guard and target optimisation.

Star Wars: The Old Republic launched December 20, and just received a new patch.

Still waiting for Space PvP, guys.
