Star Wars Outlaws is the latest AAA experience set in the galaxy far, far away, and this time it comes from Ubisoft. It’s an open-world experience where you will get to travel across different planets in the shoes of Kay Vess, accompanied by her cute companion, Nix. The release date and time countdown for when Star Wars Outlaws early access will come out is nearly over, and you’ll be able to enjoy it on PS5, Xbox, and PC.

Unfortunately, spoilers have flooded online before launch, so be wary while on socials. In addition, Ubisoft has shared the Season Pass DLC roadmap for 2024/25, and you can play the entirety of the game and get early access for just £14.99. This is the most cost effective way to experience Ubisoft’s foray into George Lucas’ beloved universe.

Star Wars Outlaws early access release date

The release date for Star Wars Outlaws early access is August 27th. As for the Standard edition, it will come out for everyone on August 30th.

Final impressions have not been posted as of writing, but, in our preview, we discussed how it could be everything you’ve ever wanted from a Star Wars game. You do not get to play as a jedi or sith wielding lightsabers, but the open-world planets are beautiful and large, you get to make choices with factions that change how you are perceived, and there is a wanted-like system similar to GTA.

Not to mention there’s combat in space, and playing as a smuggler is a refreshing alternative to playing as a jedi in the excellent Cal Kestis series from EA.

When does Star Wars Outlaws early access come out?

The release time for when Star Wars Outlaws early access will come out is 9PM PT/11PM BST on August 26th, as well as 12AM ET on August 27th. These launch hours are for PC.

As for PS5 and Xbox consoles, the release time is 12AM local time on August 27th for your region. All of these hours have been been confirmed by Ubisoft in a global schedule shared for X.

In regard to the Standard edition, all of the same hours apply for PC, PS5, and Xbox, but on August 29th/30th instead.

How to play early access

In order to play Star Wars Outlaws early access, you must pre-order either the Gold or Ultimate edition.

However, if you are planning to play on either PC or Xbox, you can instead subscribe to Ubisoft+ Premium. A monthly membership costs just £14.99/$17.99, and this will give you immediate access to the Ultimate edition once the game unlocks.

You will be able to play Ubisoft’s open-world experience until your membership ends if you go the Ubisoft+ Premium route. A month should be more than enough time to experience and complete the game, but just know you won’t be able to replay after your membership ends unless you subscribe again.

Regardless how you plan to play, you can preload Star Wars Outlaws early access right now on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
