December sales for BioWare’s upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic will not count toward the Christmas No.1.

While the game is set to be the final major release of the 2011, its December 20 release date arrives three days after the last entry can be included in the UK chart tracker, MCV reports.

Chart-Track director Dorian Bloch explained to MCV that normally the last chart published prior to Christmas is the Christmas chart. “We will stick with week 50, ending on December 17. One issue with not going for week 51 is getting all the data from retail, which will be up to and including December 24.”

It was recently announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic would have a simultaneous release on December 20.
