BioWare has stated it must be ready for the biggest online launch in history when it releases its upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
“Because of the hype around the game right now, our launch numbers are predicting something really huge, which means we have to be ready for the biggest online launch in history essentially,” project lead James Ohlen explained in an interview with Gamasutra.
“We’ve been running a lot of tests, just making sure we’re going to stand up when we launch.”
While closed beta testing is still ongoing, BioWare’s community manager Stephen Reid has said the firm plans to re-invite the original group of weekend beta testers in the future as it’s likely they did not have the best possible testing experience.
