Electronic Arts has confirmed details on the voice cast behind the upcoming Clone Wars content for Star Wars Battlefront II, and it's good news for fans of the animated TV show.

Leading the charge is Matthew Wood, who provided the voice of General Grievous in not only the Clone Wars TV show, but also Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. You might recall his latter incarnation featured a rather nasty cough.

Joining Wood is James Arnold Taylor, who provides the voice of the legendary Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Meanwhile, the villainous Count Dooku (played to perfection by the late, great Christopher Lee in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones) will be voiced by Corey Burton.

Finally, Anakin Skywalker will be voiced by Matt Lanter, who has provided the voice of the future Darth Vader throughout the Clone Wars animated series.

'I’m a gamer! I played the first Star Wars Battlefront often. Not really lately, I’ve got a new baby at home and she’s nine months, so I haven’t had a whole lot of gaming time recently. But before that – Battlefront is my game! I grew up playing first person shooters, and I love Star Wars. You know, I perform Star Wars, but I’m also a huge fan. A mix of the both is my perfect game. To be able to be a part of it is pretty incredible,' said Lanter.

EA recently unveiled its roadmap for Battlefront II's new content, with General Grievous first out the gate this month and Anakin rounding things off in February 2019.

Star Wars Battlefront II was released in November last year on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
