Cryptic’s upcoming Star Trek Online will be allowing gamers to beam up from February 5, 2010, but will your current setup be capable of running the game? The official system requirements have been confirmed, meaning you’ve got over three months to ensure your gaming rig is up to scratch.
While certainly not offering WoW levels of accessibility, the minimum requirements should be within reach of most PC gamers.
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista / Windows 7 (32 or 64-bit)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz or AMD Athlon X2 3800+

Sound: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Soundcard
DirectX: Version 9.0c or Higher

The recommended spec is, as expected, somewhat more demanding on your wallet, requiring a beefier CPU, more memory and a juicier video card – although several generations behind the current crop.
