The rumoured LittleBigPlanet spin-off, Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves, has been revealed to be a new PSN title that offers PS3 gamers the chance to try out some PlayStation Move inspired cooperative gameplay.

Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves contains 10 brand-new levels in a dinosaur dominated land in which the Evil Big Rex is king. You are on a mission to take on challenges engineered by Terrance Dactyl – and you’re going to need help.

Up to four players can play together, navigating the tricky terrain of tropical jungle and erupting volcanoes. The player with the PlayStation Move controller leads the way, flicking switches and triggering platforms to help the others, using DualShock Controllers, through each level.

The game is completely standalone, not requiring either LBP or LBP2 to run. You will need a Move controller and at least one friend, though.

Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves will be released on the PlayStation Store on December 15, priced €5.99. Furthermore, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get the game for free on December 8, and thousands of LittleBigPlanet fans will also receive the game for free as a thank you for their support.

But before you jump at the chance for some PS Move Sackboy fun, you should know that the content will be given away free with LittleBigPlanet 2 as well.

While LBP fans don’t have to buy Prehistoric Moves in December, the fact Sony and MM is selling the content that comes free with the full game, does feel a bit like the pair are cashing in on LittleBigPlanet 2’s delay.

Look at it from another angle, however, and it’s a way for fans to play some new LittleBigPlanet levels this year, which otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.

With a free playable demo also planned for December 22, there’s plenty for sack fans to be getting on with this Christmas.
