A next-gen version of Tomb Raider will be revealed at next month’s VGX awards, Square Enix has suggested.

Responding to rumours that Lara’s latest adventure was headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Square told IGN, “It’s so hard to keep a secret these days! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don’t have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December.”

The VGX awards take place on December 7.

Rumours of a next-gen port first appeared after Amazon Italy listed Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PS4 and an unknown platform, thought to be Xbox One.

The game was later discovered to have been rated by a Brazilian classifications board.

Earlier this year, Amazon Italy outed Mirror’s Edge 2 weeks before it’s official reveal.

VideoGamer.com is still awaiting a response from Square Enix UK on Amazon’s listing.
