As part of a corporate strategy meeting focusing on the integration of Eidos, Square Enix has published the lifetime, worldwide sales figures for Eidos’ leading franchises.

The most successful, and by some margin too, is the Tomb Raider franchise. The Lara Croft starring exploratory action games have sold more than 30 million units. According to a chart detailing the break down in sales for the Tomb Raider franchise, the first game is still the most successful, with sales of over seven million units. Of the more recent entries in the series, TR: Legend has sold somewhere in the region of 2.5-2.6 million units, while TR: Underworld sales stand at 2.4-2.5 million units.

Of its other franchises, Hitman has proved the most successful, with lifetime sales of over eight million units. Kane & Lynch has shifted just shy of two million units, the two Deus Ex titles combine to reach sales of over two million, while Just Cause has accumulated over one million unit sales.

In comparison, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise has sold over 85 million units, more on which can be found here.
