Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch on PlayStation 4 in April 2014, Square Enix has announced.
As previously confirmed, those currently playing the PS3 version will be able to transfer their progress over to PS4 at no additional cost.
The release follows a PS4 beta starting on February 22, which “players across the world with the new console are invited to participate [in]”. It isn’t yet known how players will gain access to the beta, or whether it will be completely open to the public.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn first launched on PC and PlayStation 3 in August which, despite a troubled start, has managed to gain 1.5m registered users.
