Yesterday Jeux-France.com reported that Ubisoft had confirmed that Splinter Cell Essentials for the PSP would be a prequel, explaining the origins of Fisher. Well it turns out that this information is partly correct. GameSpot contacted Ubisoft who confirmed to them that the game will include a “prequel aspect,” although this will not the game’s “primary focus.“
If the game is to only feature a “prequel aspect” then are we to assume that the rest of the game will comprise of elements of previous Splinter Cell titles? The rep who spoke to GameSpot said that more details will be released very soon.
