A message from the Splinter Cell Conviction Team has been posted on the official Ubisoft forums explaining the game’s absence from Ubidays and confirming that the game has “evolved”.

The message read: “… we’re happy to say that development of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction is continuing well and the game is shaping up nicely. The team here is very dedicated and focused to making sure that Conviction turns into an amazing experience of Splinter Cell.

“There are lots of rumours flying around right now about Conviction’s development status and we can tell you that the gameplay has evolved, similar to what happens in every game’s development process, and you won’t be disappointed.”

The message goes on to add that although the game was absent from Ubidays 2008, the game will be shown in the “forthcoming months”.

There’s still no word on a release date, but it sounds like there’s a chance we’ll see more on the game at E3 in July or Games Convention in August.
