Neck-snapping stealth romp Splinter Cell: Conviction is the latest title to join Microsoft’s ever-growing Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup.

Those of you who already own a copy of the 2010 Xbox 360 title can simply slide the disc into your Xbox One and begin playing right now. On the other hand, if you have a digital version already purchased, you’ll find it waiting in the ‘Ready to Download’ section of the My Games tab.

Don’t own Splinter Cell: Conviction at all? No sweat, just head over to the Xbox Store where you can pick it up on the cheap for £4.49 until February 12 (it’s currently part of the Big M’s Xbox game deals for the week).

We rather enjoyed Conviction’s portrayal of an angry, bearded Sam Fisher back in 2010, with the game offering some brilliant cooperative shenanigans and a superb blend of stealth-action antics.Â
