Insomniac Games has confirmed that Spider-Man's The City That Never Sleeps DLC will come in three parts, the first of which will launch on October 23.

Known as The Heist, part one of Spidey's post-launch shenanigans sees the parkour-powered superhero tackling new missions and challenges, as he discovers that Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, is back in New York City.

Peter Parker's masked alter-ego will also tangle with a new faction of bad guys and get his hands on three additional suits.

The Heist will be followed by Turf Wars and Silver Lining in November and December, respectively, which make up parts two and three of The City That Never Sleeps.

Spider-Man is due for release on September 7 for PlayStation 4, and will take players around 20 hours to finish if you just blast through the story without tackling many of the side quests and other activities.

Sony is really pushing the boat out in terms of marketing for the upcoming superhero title, so much so that New York residents can literally hop on board a Spidey hype train.
