Capcom has shown some new gameplay footage of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite at Comic Con, showing off Spider-Man, Haggar, Frank West, Resident Evil’s Nemesis, Gamora and also the power of the Mind Stone.

In the new footage, we see what the newly announced characters bring to the fighting game, with Spider-Man dropping in a few cocky quips, Frank West utilising his zombie destroying skills, Haggar displaying his wrestling dominance, Gamora being an all-round badass and Nemesis showing off his rocket launcher and tentacle grabs. They are tentacles, right?

The Mind Stone is the fifth Infinity Stone in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, granting the user a command grab attack, both in the air and for ground attacks. This attack will knock an opponent to the ground in a daze, leaving them open to another deadly attack.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will feature a variety of accessible single-player modes and plenty of multiplayer content for new players to the series and longtime fans. Multiplayer consists of a number of online modes and content, including ranked and casual matches, global leaderboards and online lobbies, as well as a spectator mode, so you can see how other people fight.

In addition to the single player arcade, training and mission modes, there is an immersive cinematic story mode which allows players to take advantage of both universes as they battle for supremacy against powerful foes and a new villain. It’s all about the lore.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is out on September 19 for PS4, Xbox One and PC
