The NPD Group has confirmed that Insomniac Games' Spider-Man is the fastest-selling superhero video game of all time in North America.
That's a pretty massive achievement when you consider how popular Rocksteady's Batman Arkham games were, and those were released on multiple platforms, too. But yep, Marvel's wall-crawling superhero managed to beat them all.
Spider-Man was released on PlayStation 4 back in September, where it attracted rave reviews and became the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game of all time. In the UK, it ranked as the fastest-selling game of the year.
Insomniac recently added a new suit to the game based on Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man film.
