MMO developer Spacetime has announced it has successfully broken the barrier between platforms and can now allow the playerbase of MMOs Pocket Legends and Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles to play with one another across iOS, Android, PC, and Mac for the first time.
Spacetime titles are played on a single global server which allows all users in different international areas to play against one another on different platforms.
Spacetime has also integrated the open source Google Native Client which allows for cross-platform play on Google Chrome.
Pocket Legends and Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles are currently the largest mobile MMOs in the world, with over seven million downloads.
Both of these MMOs follow in the same vein as the similarly popular mobile MMO Order & Chaos Online. Check out our interview with its community manager Callum Rowley over whether MMOs are skipping console platforms for mobile devices.
