THQ’s Space Marine will receive a free co-op update in early October, developer Relic has confirmed.
The update will introduce four-player online cooperative play via a mode called Exterminatus – Space Marines versus Orks and the Forces of Chaos. All three multiplayer classes: Tactical Marine, Devastator and Assault will be accessible.
Two scenarios will be available – Assault on Hab Center Andreas and Escape from Kalkys Facility – each offering multiple arenas.
The action is score-based, with global leaderboards ensuring teams come back for more. Think Horde-style gameplay with you taking control of the Space Marines, and you won’t be far off.
Space Marine hits stores next Friday for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
