SEGA has announced that remastered versions of Space Channel 5 Part 2 and SEGA Bass Fishing will be released on XBLA and PSN in early 2011.

“The release of these games marks SEGA’s ongoing effort to bring its best-sellers from the Dreamcast era to the latest consoles,” said Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA. “We want to enable a new generation of players to experience some of the most celebrated titles our video game history has to offer, while at the same time appealing to our enthusiastic and much appreciated community of fans.”

Other than offering high definition visuals, there’s no info on how the titles have been remastered.

While Space Channel 5 Part 2 should work perfectly well on XBLA and PSN, we’re not convinced by SEGA Bass Fishing – most of the fun was had by utilising the fishing controller.

We just wish SEGA would get around to releasing the likes of Daytona, Chu Chu Rocket and SEGA Rally 2.
