South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed to Q1 2017, Ubisoft has announced. The game had previously been scheduled to launch on December 6.

Ubisoft says that the delay will make sure the game “meets the high expectations of fans”.

The Fractured But Whole is the highly-anticipated sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, a game which had also been targeting a December release window before being delayed to March 2014. Ubisoft has yet to specify a more exact release window for The Fractured But Whole.

Still, if you’re looking for a game to play in December, at least you’ve still got The Last Guardian to look forward to. Maybe.
