The difference in processing power between the PSP2 and the Nintendo 3DS is “comparable to the difference which exists between PSP and DS”, an Edge source with experience of working on the PSP2 has claimed.
Additionally, the source said that existing reports on Sony’s new handheld featured a “perfectly reasonable description of the hardware’s capabilities”.
In case you missed it, MCV sources have revealed that Sony has told licensees that the PSP2 “is as powerful as the PlayStation 3”.
The first official info is expected on January 27.
With a second source backing previous reports it gives further strength to the expectation that the handheld will offer power on par with the PS3.
