To wish SEGA’s blue mascot a happy birthday, Sony has released a celebratory 20th Anniversary Sonic bundle on the PlayStation Store.

The bundle, priced at £13.99 (€17.99) – a saving of 50 per cent if you were to buy each game individually – contains Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure (and its DX upgrade pack), Sonic 4: Episode 1 and a theme taken from artwork in Sonic 4.

The bundle is available for one day for every year Sonic has been around – which means, math fans, it’ll expire after 20 days.

The Sonic Generations demo, also contributing to the celebrations, is up on the PlayStation Store for the same amount of time.

Sonic games have also been reduced on XBLA. Martin, fuelled by alcohol and the memories of his childhood with Sonic, went and bought the lot of them last night. All things considered, it’s a good time to be a Sonic fan. For the next 20 days, at least.
