Paramount Pictures has released the first teaser image for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and it looks like the Blue Blur has been hitting the gym for his big-screen debut. He's buff. Like, inappropriately so. His calves are fantastic; I'm actually jealous.
To say that Sonic's new look has divided fans is an understatement. Social media was buzzing when the teaser dropped, and my mates are still talking about it on Facebook. We all know what Sonic looks like, and this is…a bit frightening. Also, what's with the fur?
The movie itself isn't out for a year yet, so there's plenty of time for things to change. I mean, we haven't actually seen Sonic's face yet, although who knows how they'll handle that.
Still, at least he has his trademark sneakers!
The Sonic the Hedgehog movie is due out in cinemas in the US on November 8, 2019 and in the UK on December 26.
