Sonic Mania Plus, the physical re-release of last year's celebrated retro-'em-up platformer, will launch on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One on July 17, Sega has announced.
The Plus edition of the spikey speedster's nostalgia-driven adventure includes a number of extra features, such as a new Encore Mode, two new playable characters (Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrell; seriously, where did they pop up from?), plus four-player support for Competition and Time Attack modes. The physical release also throws in an art book, reversible Sega Mega Drive cover, and holographic packaging.
Existing Sonic Mania owners meanwhile can upgrade to the Encore Pack for £3.99 allowing them to grab all the content available in the Plus edition of the game. Be sure to have a butcher's at the latest trailer below.
