Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II will finally be released in 2012, over a year after Episode I hit digital stores in October 2010.
SEGA says Sonic will “continue his journey through the epic Sonic 4 saga” on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PSN and mobile platforms including the App Store, Android Market and Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone.
The teaser trailer seen below also reveals that the game will feature Metal Sonic and long-time friend of the blue Hedgehog, Tails the fox.
Sadly for Wii gamers, SEGA doesn’t appear to be brining the next entry in the Sonic 4 series to Wii.
