CI Games has announced that the PlayStation 5 version of military FPS Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will belatedly launch on August 24.

You can expect all the fancy new-console bells and whistles in this version, including DualSense adaptive trigger support. There’s also improved SSD loading times, upgraded textures and the choice of two modes. Performance Mode will offer 60FPS at 2K resolution while Visual Mode boasts a 4K resolution at 30FPS.

The game originally released back in June, but the PlayStation 5 version was delayed just before launch. At the time, CI Games cited  ‘unforeseen technical issues’ as the reason for the delay in a statement posted to Twitter. By way of apology, the game’s first major DLC release will be free on all platforms with an entirely new region.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 lands on PlayStation 5 on August 24. If you’ve already bought the PlayStation 4 version, you’ll get an upgrade to the new version free of charge. It’s also already available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
