Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite 4 and Zombie Army Trilogy, have been showing gameplay of their new third-person shooter Strange Brigade.
In an interview with Geoff Keighley, head of creative Tim Jones and head of marketing Robbie Cook discussed the game’s inspiration, story and showed off some gameplay.
Taking its cues from B-movies and ‘early morning, Saturday matinees’, Strange Brigade is touted as a fun, co-operative shooter based around mythical themes from the early 20th Century.
Set in the early 1930s, Strange Brigade has you taking part in a supernatural third-person shooter with plenty of mystical undertones. Playing as one of four characters (with more likely to be added at a later date), Strange Brigade looks to be very much a tongue-in-cheek play on the stereotypical caricatures of peoples viewpoints on different races of this particular time period. All that guff aside, it looks pretty good to me.
Strange Brigade will be coming to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with no definite release date set as of yet.
Check out the video below, gameplay starts at 2:14.
