Shenmue composer and all-around Sega music maestro Takenobu Mitsuyoshi has cobbled together an impressive F-Zero medley for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The medley was revealed on the upcoming fighting game's official website, which has been teasing new bits and bobs for the Switch title over the past few weeks or so. Nintendo has released a teaser from the medley on YouTube, so give it a listen below.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due out exclusively for Switch on December 7, and features every character to have appeared in the franchise to date. And no, it's not an updated Wii U Super Smash Bros., but an all-new game.

F-Zero poster boy and muscle man Captain Falcon will of course be appearing in the game, as well as a bunch of stages inspired by the futuristic racing series.
