Gastronaut Studios has today announced details of new premium downloadable content for Small Arms. 250 Microsoft Points will buy players two new characters, two new battlefields and two new Achievements to unlock.

The two new characters are Ivar, the sabretooth tiger druid, and Gullarp, the bald woolly mammoth. Players will be able to take these characters and those already in the game to the new battlefields, Arctic Ice Floe and the rubble of Pillaged Village.

Point junkies will also be pleased to see the inclusion of new Achievements. Become a Barbarian by completing Mission mode with either of the new characters, and gain the Barbaric Recruiter award for hosting an online match on any of the new battlefields.

Also announced today is a new title update. This free of charge update will address a number of issues, notably improving the game’s frame rate and balancing the weapons for fairer matches.

The premium downloadable content will set you back 250 Microsoft Points and is available now, as is the free title update.
