Developer Monomi Park has offered a new gameplay trailer for upcoming oddball farming adventure sequel, Slime Rancher 2.

The game continues the adventures of the hero of the previous outing, Beatrix LeBeau. This time, she’s setting out across the Slime Sea to the Rainbow Islands. It’s a whole new archipelago teeming with life, ancient mysteries and of course, plenty of new and returning Slimes.

Once more you’ll be building a new conservatory for these slimes, who’ll need looking after and feeding. Doing so will earn you plorts, which can in turn be exchanged for Newbucks. You’ll spend these Newbucks on new tools and expanding your ranch so you can keep some of the newer slime creatures, such as the Cotton Slime and the Angler Slime.

Along the way, you’ll explore new lands – including Ember Valley with its geysers of water. They’ll come complete with ancient ruins and secrets to discover, giving LeBeau and in turn you an insight into this mysterious planet that she now calls home.
