Merge Games & solo developer Affordable Acquisition have unveiled Slaycation Paradise, a twin stick shooter tower defence game coming in 2022.

The game’s concept focuses around a post-apocalyptic holiday resort. The titular company promises to whisk potential holidaymakers (ie: you) to the zombie killing fields of their dreams. You’ll start off at the resort, then head through interdimensional portals to a variety of weird and wacky locations. There, you’ll simply have to survive as long as possible against waves of bloodthirsty monsters.

Vacationers will get a catalogue’s worth of weapons like pump action shotguns, flamethrowers and even things like cat-launchers and magic wands. However, they’ll also have access to the ‘Construction Assembly Turret’ or C.A.T. kit for short. This lets them build custom defensive structures they’ll be able to use to keep the hordes at bay.

Kills of course mean prizes, and keeping with the holiday resort theme you’ll unlock Slaycation Club Member’s Reward points. These points can then be spent on new weapons, upgrades for both weapons and your C.A.T. and perks to help you slay for longer. You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below.

Slaycation Paradise will be available at some point later this year on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
