The contents of Skylanders: Swap Force’s Starter Pack have been revealed thanks to updated retailer listings.
The Starter Pack – which is expected to retail for around £64.99 – includes a copy of the full game, the brand new Portal of Power, Ninja Stealth Elf and two new Swap Force characters: Blast Zone and Wash Buckler.
The two new characters can be combined to create a third character Blast Buckler.
All Skylanders Swap Force players are required to purchase the Starter Pack regardless of whether they’ve previously purchased a Skylanders title. The new Portal of Power is required to make use of the game’s swap technology.
As well as revealing the Starter Pack contents, GAME also announced that it had acquired the UK-exclusive rights to Skylanders: Swap Force’s Dark Edition, a premium version of the Starter Pack containing five Dark Skylanders figures.
Dark variants of Blast Zone, Wash Buckler, Stealth Elf, Spyro, and Slobber Tooth will all be included in the package, which retails for £84.99.
In addition, anybody who pre-orders either version will also receive a Skylanders Giants lightcore Hex figurine at no extra cost.
Skylanders: Swap Force launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on October 18, with Xbox One and PS4 versions to follow.
Disney’s Skylanders rival, Disney Infinity, goes on sale next Friday, August 23.
