The Skate 4 hype train has been well and truly derailed after EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed during an overnight earnings call that the game is not in development.
The often requested sequel hit the headlines again after EA community engagement manager Daniel Lingen tweeted “#skate4”.

Exactly what was hoped to be achieved by the tweet remains to be seen, but it certainly wasn’t the announcement fans were hoping for.
“Much to the dismay of the many people that email me on a fairly regular basis, we are not presently making Skate 4, and so that will not be in fiscal year 2018,” explained Wilson.
