Update: SingStar Frozen has been confirmed by Sony, but licensing issues mean the game is currently only set for release in Portugal, Poland, Spain, Italy and Germany.
A statement given to Digital Spy reads: “We are very excited to be bringing the phenomenally popular songs from Disney Frozen to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 with the launch of SingStar Frozen.
“Due to licensing restrictions, unfortunately SingStar Frozen is only available in selected territories at launch. However, we are working with Disney to bring it to other markets when possible and will share more information shortly.”
Original report: Disney’s mega hit animation Frozen looks set to see its catchy songs turned into a new SingStar experience, according to a PEGI listing spotted by Everybody Plays.
The ratings board lists SingStar Frozen for both PS3 and PS4, each with 3+ ratings. The PS3 version was classified yesterday, with the PS4 edition only showing up today.
No further information is listed by PEGI.
The karaoke game is likely to feature the following tracks, as taken from Disney’s official sing-along CD.
1. Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
2. For the First Time in Forever
3. Love Is an Open Door
4. Let It Go
5. Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People
6. In Summer
7. For the First Time in Forever (Reprise)
8. Fixer Upper
This isn’t much content for a standalone disc so it could be that the track list is beefed up with other Disney classics. Alternatively, the Frozen tracks may be offered as a DLC pack.
We’re waiting to hear back from Sony.
