There’s already a vast selection of SingStar games to choose from, meaning you should be able to find something to suit your taste. However, so far there’s been nothing specifically targeted at gamers who remember the ’90s with great affection.

This is soon going to change, with the upcoming release of SingStar ’90s and its collection of 30 songs from the era. We’re talking classics such as ‘You Can’t Touch This’ from MC Hammer, ‘Everybody Hurts’ from R.E.M. and ‘Barbie Girl’ from Aqua.

OK, so they’re not all classics, but SingStar ’90s could easily end up as a post-pub favourite. Sony’s been unavailable so we can’t confirm a European release date just yet, but New Zealand-based online store Gameplanet has it down for release on August 3.
