The actors behind James and Maria in the Silent Hill 2 Remake have teased more is coming “soon,” seemingly pointing to the inevitability of the Born From A Wish DLC. During 30-seconds of a recent livestream that has circulated on social media, Luke Roberts, the voice actor for James, said, “those guys are amazing [Bloober Team], I’ll work for them all day every day… I think it’s on the horizon, I think we’ll work again, I think you’ll find us soon”.
Salóme Gunnarsdottir, the voice actor for Maria, didn’t allude to what Luke was referring to, but she agreed with his sentiment. Naturally, everyone believes they’re hinting at the Born From A Wish DLC as that was part of the original Silent Hill 2 and still hasn’t materialized for the remake.
In response to the livestream clip, Resident Evil and Silent Hill leaker, Dusk Golem, posted, “I know for a fact Born From A Wish was worked on last year”. However, Dusk Golem speculates that the DLC’s name might be changed “due to how different it was becoming to be given its own identity”. However, this is just “speculation”.
Earlier in October, Dusk Golem claimed that Born From A Wish was planned to release “around the window of the upcoming Return to Silent Hill movie based off SH2”. Return to Silent Hill is scheduled to release on January 23rd, 2026, so hopefully an announcement is imminent.
It’s not just Born From A Wish us horror junkies have to anticipate. Bloober Team are officially developing a remake of the original Silent Hill, and we also have Silent Hill Townfall arriving possibly next year. And, for even more SH, Pyramid Head is soon teaming up with Dracula for Dead By Daylight 2v8.
