Sigourney Weaver and the cast of the original Alien movie are to reunite for two downloadable missions heading to this October’s survival horror Alien Isolation, SEGA has announced.

The two missions will let players relive classic scenes from the original movie, including ‘Crew Expendable’, a scene set shortly after Brett’s death in which players can choose to play as Ellen Ripley, Parker or Dallas as they attempt to lure the Alien into the ship’s airlock, and ‘Last Survivor’, which sees Ripley attempting to activate the Nostromo’s self-destruct sequence before escaping on the Narcissus shuttle.

Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerrit, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto and Ian Holm have each lent their likenesses and voice talent to recreate the scenes as faithfully as possible.

“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience,” said Alistair Hope, creative lead on Alien: Isolation. “It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”

Crew Expendable, will be available as part of Alien: Isolation’s day one Nostromo Edition, while Last Survivor will be available as an additional pre-order bonus from select retailers.

It isn’t clear whether the missions will be released separately at a later date.

Alien: Isolation launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 7.
