Developer Sloclap has revealed a roadmap of free updates coming to kung-fu brawler Sifu over the rest of the year.

The 2022 roadmap reveals four bundles of new features that the team will add to the game, based on fan feedback since it launched in February. Most imminently, players can expect the first round of new additions next Tuesday, on May 3. That update will bring along new difficulty options, advanced training and outfit selection. From the image, it looks like these difficulty levels will include Student, Disciple and Master options.

Then, in the Summer, players can look forward to Advanced Scoring and Gameplay modifiers. Some of these include No Pendant, One Health Point, No Guard and things like that. Also teased are stronger enemies, a golden staff, all skills unlocked and bullet time – which should spice things up further for subsequent runs.

The Fall will bring along with it a Replay Editor, letting you relive your best fights in the most cinematic ways possible. Finally, in Winter we’re teased a new game mode called Arenas. We don’t know much else about it yet, but if we had to guess from the name we’d say some sort of infinite-like mode with waves of combatants to take on outside of the story. We’ll find out more closer to the time. Across all four seasons, the team will also be adding more outfits and modifiers too.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a good year of updates ahead for Sifu fans. The game arrived on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC back in February – and we quite enjoyed it. Check out our review over here.
